Dr. ZAIN MIRZA

Spine Specialist

Dr. Muhammad Zain Mirza is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in operative and non-operative treatments of the spine. His area of expertise is minimally invasive and complex spine surgery. Dr. Mirza is a diplomate of American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a fellow of American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr. Mirza did his orthopaedic surgery training at Penn State University where he was the Chief Resident. He then went on to sub-specialize in spine surgery at the coveted University of Wisconsin-Madison spine fellowship under world-renowned surgeons including Drs. Thomas A. Zdeblick and Paul A. Anderson.

After finishing his training, he joined University of Missouri as core orthopaedic surgery faculty where he trained other orthopaedic and spine surgeons. Dr. Mirza practiced and taught advanced and cutting-edge surgical techniques to other spine surgeons.

Dr. Mirza has published numerous research papers in esteemed journals and won several awards.  He has been invited to present at many regional and national conferences including Cervical Spine Research Society, Lumbar Spine Research Society, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Mirza is also a peer-reviewer of academic journals including the International Journal of Spine Surgery.

In his free time, Dr. Mirza enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing basketball. He is fluent in many languages including English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi.
