Dr. RONA LAW

Dr. Rona Law is a fellowship-trained, ABPM Board Certified foot and ankle surgeon specializing in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction. 

Dr. Law was born in Hong Kong and grew up in city of Torrance (southern California). She attended University of California, Los Angeles, and majored in molecular, cell, and developmental biology. Then, she completed her medical education at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois. 

During her surgical residency at OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma center in Columbus, Ohio, she trained under internationally renowned foot and ankle surgeons and served as chief resident. Her extensive training includes procedures such as ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle open reduction internal fixation, external fixation, deformity correction, and diabetic limb salvage. Dr. Law spent an additional year in fellowship focusing on complex procedures and reconstruction in the forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle surgery and trauma in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania under Dr. Mark Hofbauer. She is passionate about sports medicine, trauma, deformity correction and reconstruction, education and research. 

Dr. Law integrates the most up to date surgical technology including minimally invasive diagnostics and arthroscopy to provide her patients with optimal outcomes. She has been involved in numerous research projects and received leadership recognition during medical school and residency training. Dr. Law utilizes an advanced yet minimally invasive treatment modality for Plantar fasciitis/ Achilles tendinitis, known as the TenJet.

While her extensive training has allowed her to hone in on surgical biomechanics and arthroscopic techniques, she prioritizes proper patient education and exhausting conservative treatments prior to surgical intervention. Dr. Law is committed to ethical treatment, most up to date and individualized and quality patient care, and lifelong learning. 

During her spare time, Dr. Law enjoys watching and playing sports, hiking national park trails, traveling, and spending time with her family and her Bernese Mountain Dog Maya. She is happy to call DFW her new home and welcomes patients from all walks of life.
