Foot and Ankle Specialist

Dr. Rona Law is a fellowship-trained foot and ankle surgeon specializing in forefoot and rearfoot reconstruction. She has been involved in numerous research projects and received leadership recognition during medical school and residency training. Dr. Law is passionate about education, patient care, and research for new and innovative techniques in foot and ankle surgery.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in the city of Torrance in southern California, Dr. Law attended University of California, Los Angeles, and majored in molecular, cell, and developmental biology. Then, she completed her medical education at Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, Illinois.

During her medical and surgical residency at Grant Medical Center, Level 1 Trauma center in Columbus, Ohio, she trained under internationally renowned foot and ankle surgeons. There, she served as chief resident and was involved in over 1300 foot and ankle surgical cases including ankle arthroscopy, foot and ankle trauma, forefoot and rearfoot deformity correction, and diabetic limb salvage. After residency training, Dr. Law spent an additional year in fellowship training and specialized in complex procedures in the forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle reconstructive surgery and trauma in Belle Vernon, Pennsylvania under the tutelage of Dr. Mark Hofbauer. She is passionate about sports medicine, trauma, deformity correction and reconstruction, education and research.

During her foot and ankle surgical training, she focused on minimally invasive foot and ankle arthroscopic techniques, cartilage injuries including osteochondral defects, and orthopedic ankle reconstruction. Dr. Law integrates ankle arthroscopy in her practice as an advanced yet minimally invasive diagnostic and treatment modality to provide her patients with optimal outcomes.

While her extensive training has allowed her to understand proper biomechanics and surgical techniques, she prioritizes proper patient education and exhausting conservative treatments prior to surgical intervention. Dr. Law is committed to ethical treatment, the most up to date and individualized high quality patient care, and lifelong learning.

During her spare time, Dr. Law enjoys watching and playing sports, hiking national park trails, and traveling.
