Dr. THOMAS FERRISE

Dr. Thomas D. Ferrise is a dedicated and accomplished podiatric surgeon who joined Texas Orthopedic and Spine Associates in July 2024. Dr. Ferrise has demonstrated a profound commitment to advancing the field of podiatric surgery, specializing in various surgical interests, including ankle arthroscopy, flatfoot reconstruction, fracture management, and sports medicine, among others. With his extensive surgical training and experience, he provides comprehensive care to patients using the most up-to-date and current treatments to improve a wide range of foot and ankle ailments.

Dr. Ferrise’s journey to becoming a leading podiatric surgeon began with his education and training at prestigious institutions across the United States. He completed his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Subsequently, he pursued a Podiatric Medicine and Surgical Residency with a focus on reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery at AdventHealth East Orlando in Orlando, FL. His pursuit of excellence led him to complete advanced surgical training at Silicon Valley Foot and Ankle Reconstruction Fellowship with the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in Mountain View, CA.

Throughout his career, Dr. Ferrise has been actively engaged in research and academic pursuits, making significant contributions to the field through publications, posters, and presentations at various national conferences and in leading journals. His research interests span a wide range of topics, including perioperative pain management, soft tissue pathology, and surgical treatments for foot and ankle trauma. Additionally, he has assumed leadership roles in professional organizations, serving as a peer reviewer for the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons’ journal, Foot and Ankle Surgery: Techniques, Reports, and Cases.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Ferrise maintains a balanced lifestyle, indulging in hobbies such as skiing, golfing and outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and backpacking.
